Roam for the Holidays
Season’s Greetings from me, the Fur-ociously Festive Feline, Butch Catsidy!
It has come to my attention, courtesy of my Secondary Human, that there is a thing called funny cat videos on the square things my humans are always staring at. No wonder they are so obsessed. I too could spend hours watching this content and really, I think I could do just as well as some of these cat video characters given the right circumstances. I know this because I am naturally entertaining, and the camera loves me.
Of specific interest to me currently, are the theatrical performances of my fellow festive felines helping their Humans celebrate holidays. These hilarious hijinks are quite entertaining and make me yearn for a tastily wrapped package, a ribbon waiting to be unraveled, a freshly roasted turkey begging to be swiped and, my favorite of all, a pine tree with sparkles all over it just waiting to be climbed and dismantled.
I have fond memories of performing my own hijinks for my Human’s past holidays, but this year their holidays look a little different. This year there is no turkey or tree or tasty wrapping paper for me to chew on. Ourramblinvan is decked out in teeny tiny battery-operated colored lights that are too high for me to reach and small decorations that stick to the walls or fit in eensy spaces that I can’t access. It’s decor that is meant to be easily put away so our home can move to other locations where all the good stuff is stashed away from me and only available to other festive felines for hijinks. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I’m pretty sure I will have to barf on my Human’s bedding enroute to these other locations several times to show my disappointment. Maybe I can console myself with funny videos of other festive felines, but it looks as if my holiday hijinks will have to wait until next year. Not to worry, it just means that I have a whole year to plan. Just wait, by New Years Day 2026 I will be a festive feline star on the little square things. Then they’ll be sorry.
Hope your holidays are happy!
Sincerely,
Butch Catsidy, Festive Fugitive
