What’s Cookin’ Seventh Edition: One Skillet Teriyaki Beef Noodle Bowl

One Skillet Teriyaki Beef and Noodles:

All ingredients:

1 tbls dried onion

¼ tsp ground black or white ground pepper

¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

¼ tsp sesame seeds (optional)

1 tsp garlic powder

3 tbls oil

2 tbls teriyaki sauce and marinade

1 pound sirloin steak

2 1/2 cups water

1/3 package Chinese Lo Mein Noodles

1/4 cup orange marmalade

¼ cup teriyaki sauce and marinade

½ cup frozen peas

1/2 cup chopped carrots

 Instructions:

Marinade:
1 tbls dried onion
¼ tsp ground black pepper
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
¼ tsp sesame seeds (optional)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbls oil
2 tbls teriyaki sauce
Mix marinade ingredients together
Add 1 pound sirloin steak -thinly sliced and marinade to zipper bag, seal and massage well. Marinate in fridge for 2-3 hours.
 Heat 2 tbls oil in skillet and cook marinated meat over medium high heat until well browned. Remove meat from pan, set aside.
Add 1/2 cup of water to the pan and leave on the burner, reduce heat to medium low, stir well and scrape all the good stuff off the bottom of the pan, then pour pan juices into a measuring cup, set aside.
 Put the skillet back on the burner. Add 2 cups water to pan, bring to a boil, add 
1/3 package Chinese lo main noodles, cook 6 minutes.
Drain noodles, set aside
 In the measuring cup with the reserved pan juices add:
1/4 cup orange marmalade
¼ cup teriyaki sauce
Stir well and add to the empty pan
 Add peas and carrots to the pan with the sauce bring to a boil and reduce heat. Stir over medium heat until veggies just begin to soften. 
 Add meat back to the pan, stir well to coat with liquid and mix with veggies, push meat and veggie mixture to edges of the skillet. Add the drained noodles to the center of pan, press the noodles down into the sauce, cook on low heat for a few minutes until the noodles are well soaked in the sauce. Mix meat and noodles together, serve.
